Managing director - infrastructure and engineering,
Chris was appointed Managing Director of Interserve Infrastructure in 2014 joining the board of Interserve Construction. He is responsible for leading and developing Infrastructure operations within the UK covering Public and Regulated business to develop and maintain key infrastructure assets, focussing on the highways, water/wastewater, airport/ports and energy/power sectors. Following a re-structure within the Construction Division in 2018 Chris was also appointed to lead the Engineering Services business working with the embedded senior management team. Engineering services delivers leading mechanical, electrical, control and process building services focussing on health, education and general building services within the UK.
With over 30 years working in UK construction he has gained significant experience in construction activities spanning heavy civil engineering, building (major projects and regional) and process/chemical/nuclear engineering works, developing, managing and directing many types of business focussing on service delivery, growth and rationalisation constantly seeking to create customer focussed effective teams. During this period he has developed a broad and competent understanding of UK construction business model from marketing, business development, work winning through to asset delivery, commissioning and maintenance.
Chris started his career with Costain Group Plc straight from University spending over 28 years working in operational and business areas.
Chris is also a Supervising Civil Engineer for the Institution of Civil Engineers, mentoring and coaching young engineers and professionals to becoming members of the institute and guiding them to become the business leaders of tomorrow.
