A member of the Royal Institute of British Architects for over 40 years, Graham has a broad experience of working in the public and private sectors, including Local Authorities, Central Government, private practice and design and build contracting. Joining Bowmer & Kirkland in 1999 as Technical Manager, this broad experience has provided both design and technical expertise that has helped Bowmer & Kirkland to successfully deliver projects, particularly in the education sector, which now provides the largest sector of work for Bowmer & Kirkland.
Working as Principal Architect at the Department for Education prior to joining Bowmer & Kirkland, Graham has specific experience in the design of schools, from working in the 1960’s and 70’s on delivering schools using componentised building systems such as CLASP, through bespoke solutions under the BSF Programme to the DfE’s current formulaic approach to the space planning of schools under the Contractors Framework.
In addition to his role as Technical Manager, Graham acts as the company’s Sustainability Manager aligning the company’s polices and procedures in accordance with ISO:26000 that helps promote corporate responsibility, including fair practice, environmental and social responsibility.
