Jonathan is the CEO of Construction/Housebuilder/Developer Seddon. The company provides a full range of construction, maintenance and house building services across the UK, operating from four regional offices. Founded in 1897, the family-owned and managed business spans five generations of the Seddon family. It has a turnover of more than £200 million and employs over 800 people delivering construction projects in the housing, healthcare, education, commercial, retail and industrial, and hotel and leisure sectors.
The latest generation of the Seddon family to lead the construction business, Jonathan has experience across all areas of the company, starting his career on site where he worked in a variety of trades. From site manager, he progressed steadily to contracts manager, becoming construction and safety director in 2002. He was made managing director in 2007 and became chief executive in 2013.
Jonathan is committed to maintaining long-term relationships with Seddon’s customers, staff, suppliers and other stakeholders with the focus on delivering high-performance, innovative solutions which meet customers’ needs.
He is particularly proud of the business’s deep-rooted commitment to training and investing in its workforce: Seddon was voted in the Top 10 of the best contractors to work for in 2016 in recognition of its apprentice, training and well-being achievements.
