Briggs & Forrester Special Projects

In 2024 we completed a 5-year strategic plan, that through collaborative planning process with the senior leadership team set out clear business goals, enabling strategies and associated measures. Significant achievements over the period include increased turnover, increase in principal contractor work, 90% customer satisfaction rating, increase in repeat business and reduction in accidents. We have introduced a Leadership and Management Apprenticeship programme for the leadership team to enhance performance and support business growth. Our Managing Director has also undertaken a Coaching and Mentoring Programme. We have also invested in the social value platform Thrive and corporate volunteering app OnHand.

Metek

We are a company that cares about client outcomes, project successes, repeat business and employee satisfaction and fulfilment. We work tirelessly to ensure that this ethos is communicated by the whole Metek team. We encourage clients to engage early so we can commit to collaborate closely with them to deliver their project. We promote visits to our Manufacturing Facility so clients can see 1st hand, how much ‘skin in the game’ we have. Visits to live projects are offered which shows a clear commitment to transparency as well as encouraging clients to ask searching questions our visits tend to prompt.

Precision Facades

Precision Facades was established in 2017 and has worked on over 100 projects across the UK. Client satisfaction is high with 90% of business repeated from clients such as Willmott Dixon and Watkin Jones. They continue to grow, turning over an additional 40% in 2023/24, staff increasing 30% and an order book standing at £50m until 2025. They have achieved certification against ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018. Culture is high priority with wellness initiatives and a focus on charity and community, such as raising money for SHARE and a volunteer training programme for North West prisons.

Zed Pods

ZED PODS is an innovative SME specialising design-led off-site volumetric MMC housing solution. We have a track record of addressing social inequality in housing and contributes to climate change mitigation through our zero-carbon design and acclaimed sustainable developments. Collaborating with Mid Devon District Council and 30 other public sector clients, we unlock challenging brownfield sites to build zero-carbon homes. Last year, we completed St Andrews House, a six-unit social-rent zero-operational carbon housing scheme. It marked the region's first MMC-led initiative to had received funding through the first round of Brownfield Land Release Funding (BLRF1) to break ground nationally.
