Breathaboard  

Breathaboard is a bio-based, carbon-sequestering and scalable alternative to one of the most widely used construction products, plasterboard. It is produced, specified and installed in the same way but with carbon and performance benefits. Breathaboard can save approximately 4kg of CO2/m2 over gypsum plasterboard in a market of around 13bn m2. It has been recognised by construction industry professionals as a revolutionary innovation that could help to address waste issues, resource security and health in the sector. It has enhanced thermal performance, reduces the risk of mould forming and is totally compostable at the end of its life.

Working in conjunction with each other, the Alimats crane outrigger mat system and the Half Loader Spreader Module are fully tested innovations, made from an extruded metallic truss design using certified high-grade recycled aluminium. The material stiffness of both innovations enables them to safely spread the outrigger load horizontally across the mat surface before distribution to the ground – subsequently working as structurally intended. Safety Net Recovery System  

Construction’s fastest Safety Net Recovery System has been developed by Brilliant Ideas – inventors and manufacturers of construction safety products. This unique inflatable airbag design enables recovery of a site operative who has fallen injured or unconscious into safety netting within 3-minutes. This life-saving innovation is available to hire in two sizes with recovery from a floor-to-floor height of around 2.5m, and 4.5m. The idea for the development came about after a major incident when a colleague working on an open leading edge had a cardiac arrest.

Changing regulations have placed greater responsibility on contractors, but with a shrinking talent pool within the construction sector this has made projects challenging. As a result, we developed offsite solutions which include FUZE Stax so installers can be confident of completing projects to the same standard more efficiently despite talent shortages. Everything is fully fabricated and stress tested to guarantee reliability in our state-of-the-art facility at our UK factory in Kent. By reducing this burden we reduce supply chain issues for contractors, including labour timescales, that impact project delivery times.
