The CN Specialists Awards 2020 were originally scheduled for 25 March at Grosvenor House, London, postponed at the last minute with the country being forced into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Yesterday, more than seven months later, the 2020 awards eventually took place, albeit virtually. The UK's leading specialist contractors, as well as influential companies and suppliers from across the construction industry, gathered virtually for to watch the winners of the 20 categories be revealed by hosts, Construction News head of content Zak Garner-Purkis and comedian and author, Ian Moore.
Zak said, “…2020 has been a real test for everyone, but the construction industry and its specialists as ever have shown incredible resilience, more than that, you’ve been inspiring.
As this year draws to a close, I think many people are grateful to work in a sector with a positive outlook for the future.
Today is all about celebrating the amazing people, projects and companies that exist in the construction supply chain, it’s about putting the spotlight on the specialists who do amazing things.
Congratulations once again to all our worthy winners and finalists and a huge thank you to our judges, sponsors, supporters and partners….”
Congratulations once again to all our worthy winners and finalists. Thank you to everybody that entered, the attendees, and to our sponsors without whose generous support these awards would not have taken place.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year, hopefully in person, and receiving your entries!
