Jack Brown
Brown & Mason Group

With each milestone surpassed, Jack defies conventional boundaries and positions himself as a trailblazer and visionary in the demolition and construction engineering field. As Jack advances in his professional path, BMG eagerly anticipates his continued achievements and groundbreaking contributions to the field.

Joseph Clayton
Mace  

Joseph joined the Mace apprenticeship scheme as a Project Controls Assistant in August 2021, he is studying for a construction management degree part-time. During his apprenticeship with Mace, Joseph has positively impacted the ultimate delivery by ensuring control mechanisms are in place to allow decision-making and necessary performance levels to be maintained. Joseph’s efforts to go well beyond what would be expected of an apprentice, are recognised by the senior leadership team at Mace and within client organisations. Following a successful interview with the Royal Household, Joseph has been seconded into the Royal Household since October 2022.

Grace Dixon-Lever is a digital-engineering apprentice excelling in MEP system coordination using Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, and AutoCAD. She seamlessly integrates software for efficient design processes and resolves conflicts adeptly. Grace's commitment to continuous improvement, strong communication and teamwork skills makes her an invaluable asset. With her passion, dedication, and innovative spirit, she exemplifies excellence in the field and is a deserving candidate for the Awards.

Kayleigh Gerrietty

Transitioning from a career in hospitality to a completely unfamiliar industry at the age of 32 can be intimidating, but Gary's aptitude, commitment, hard work, and drive to succeed have made the journey rewarding. Winning the BESA award for Electrotechnical Apprentice of the Year 2023 was a profoundly proud moment for Gary, representing the culmination of the dedication and effort he has poured into his apprenticeship. The unwavering support and encouragement from everyone at Dalkia, motivates Gary to consistently excel in his apprenticeship. Their collective push and guidance have propelled him to pursue excellence at every opportunity.

Ben Hamlin

Ben is an outstanding individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to his apprenticeship and the wider community. He consistently goes above and beyond, using his experience to help others looking to follow a similar apprenticeship route. As one of the first to achieve a T-Level qualification, he has spoken at various industry events, developed his network of contacts and has now made an exceptional start to his studies at UCLAN. Making a difference in all areas of his early career, his positive impact is felt by all who know him, and he is a role model to other apprentices.

Oisin Knox

Oisin has been a credit to Building Services and Fife College, not only is he showing remarkable ability at work, but his college performance has also surpassed his peers. His impressive portfolio and ability to articulate his knowledge has seen him gain recognition at our own annual internal apprentice awards. I have no doubt should Oisin continue his progress at his current level he will exceed all our expectations and go on to be an asset to Fife Council. I am delighted to be able to put Oisin forward for Construction News Apprentice of the Year award.

Lauren Peynado
RGE Services  

Lauren works with RGE Services as an Electrical Safety Engineer Apprentice, whilst completing a three-year apprenticeship at the Training Trust. As a single mother of three daughters, Lauren overcomes her busy schedule with an impeccable work ethic, underpinned by her desire to put others first. Lauren always takes time to help other members of her team, as well as her peers at college. Lauren continues to break the mould in a male-dominated industry, inspiring other women to follow. Lauren delivers high-quality services in her local community in Hackney, and works hard to accommodate all residents’ individual needs.

A positive, enthusiastic individual that works tirelessly to achieve her goal of becoming a Planner, even through the understandable distraction of her home country of Ukraine’s war, where some of her family reside. Beyond her successful project contributions, Nadya actively promotes our business and industry to local colleges. Sharing her career journey, from T-Level student to planning trainee providing valuable insights and inspiration to aspiring professionals.
